HOLIDAY FUN! This bundle includes activities to teach and learn about some popular holidays in a skills based and engaging way!

In these activities, students will learn about:
a) history of the holiday / important facts (who, what, where, when, why)
b) notable figures or people associated with the holiday
c) symbols important to or symbolism of the holiday
d) fun facts and more!
As students read the informational texts and watch videos, they will have to solve puzzles and answer questions based on the information they learn.
Types of questions in the challenges include:
-true and false
-multiple choice
-fill in the blank
-sequencing
-context clues
-inferencing
-comprehension
You can use this activity as an ongoing lesson for a few days or challenge your students to "break out" in one day!
HOW TO USE:
-NOTE: Students will require the use of the internet to watch the videos
-students use the information in the readings or videos to complete the challenges
-once they solve each puzzle, they are given two or three-letter clues (either digitally on the Google Form or on paper by the teacher)
-these letter clues must be unscrambled to solve a holiday-themed riddle/joke given at the end of the breakout!
PRINT (color and printer-friendly!) and DIGITAL versions are included!
